Iran has not responded to Ukraine’s note regarding the settlement of the case of Ukrainian plane PS 752 shot down near Tehran. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevgen Yenin, Radio Liberty reports.

“The first note with our requirements and a proposal to resolve all issues was sent to Iran as early as January 11. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this. As of today, it is 5 months with no official response. This note also said about Ukraine’s readiness to negotiate with Iran. There is no answer. There are only statements in the press regarding readiness," Yenin wrote.

He believes that the transfer of "black boxes" from an airplane to Ukraine would be a "good gesture".

The Deputy Minister assured that Ukraine would not delay negotiations with Iran.

"I’m sure that until the receipt of a written response from Iran to our January note, the president will already create a delegation of Ukraine. There will be no delay in the start of negotiations from Ukraine," Yenin said.

He added that the Ukrainian side’s demand for Iran is simple: "both the technical and the criminal investigation must comply with the basic principles of impartiality, independence and transparency."

“Therefore, our investigative bodies and prosecution bodies constantly send requests for legal assistance to their Iranian colleagues. The timing of the investigation will depend on the prosecutor’s office, which is independent under the Constitution,” Yenin said.

Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for International and Legal Affairs of Iran, Mohsen Bakharvand, said that the investigation into the catastrophe of the Ukrainian plane was almost completed.
