Investigation of Maidan-related cases postponed, - ex-Prosecutor General's Office official

The investigation into the cases of murders and persecutions of Euromaidan activists is currently postponed. Serhiy Horbatyuk, the recently dismissed Chief of Special Investigations Department of Prosecutor General's Office said so in a commentary for 112 Ukraine.

Within these cases, 448 people were noticed of suspicion; 298 bills of indictment were sent to the court. 57 verdicts were announced.

"That is, a huge job is done. And it carried on, it did. But, unfortunately, today, it is, in fact, postponed", the official claimed.

Horbatyuk added that 156 high-rank officials were noticed of suspicion. Indictment bills against 88 of them (including ex-Minister of Justice, ex-Minister of Internal Affairs and ex-Chief of Kyiv regional state administration) are sent to the court.

Horbatyuk was dismissed from his post on October 23.
