Internal document of OSCE SMM in Ukraine was possibly handed to Russia

Transferred documents contained a lot of personal information of the OSCE workers

The OSCE SMM in Ukraine expressed the concern that its internal documents, including the dossiers on the OSCE staff, were passed to the Russian side as Deutsche Welle reported.

“The Mission is concerned about any alleged breach of its security and is determined to examine all the allegations thoroughly in accordance with established procedures," the OSCE SMM in Ukraine claimed.

The passed documents contained a lot of personal information about the OSCE workers, including the types of women they were attracted to, their financial situation and whether they were susceptible to alcohol. However, the OSCE refuses to comment on the situation until the circumstances of the incident will be clear.

"Without proper verification, the OSCE … cannot comment or speculate on documents of unknown origin… However, the Mission is concerned that alleged breaches may carry a potential risk for its staff, compromising their privacy and security”.

As we reported the explosion took place from a distance less than 300 meters from the OSCE SMM observers not far from Petrovske, Luhansk region. 

Also, the OSCE SMM in Donbas reported an attack on their observers in Donetsk region. No casualties were reported. According to the OSCE, the fire was opened from the residential quarters in Horlivka, Donetsk region.
