The interdepartmental delegation of the U.S. consisting of the representatives of the Energy Department, Commerce Department and Trade and Development Agency arrived in Kyiv to meet the representatives of the Ukrainian authority, as U.S. Embassy to Ukraine reported on Facebook.
“We welcome in Kyiv the interdepartmental delegation consisting of Representative on Global Markets of International Commerce Administration of the Commerce Department Yan Steffi, Representative of Energy Department Joseph Uddo and Representative of Trade and Development Agency Todd Abrajano,” the message said.
It is noted that the representatives of the American government came to Kyiv for promotion of the partnership between Ukraine and the U.S.
During the stay in Kyiv, the delegation will hold the meetings with the representatives of the Ukrainian authority and U.S. entrepreneurs.
As we reported, the U.S. House of Representatives approved the draft laws, which provide the provision of $700 million of aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, the formal process of approval of the draft defense budget for the next year which provides $250 million for Ukraine kicked off in the U.S. Congress. $50 million of the sum might be spent on provision of lethal arms of defensive nature.
