Ukraine's Foreign Ministry confirms that supplies of CoviShield vaccine from India have been suspended for the time being. Dmytro Kuleba, the minister said so as quoted by UNN news agency.
"I'd like to thank the government of India for the delivery of the first batch. Actually, the export of vaccine from India is currently paused. I won't go for the details, but it's a fact", Kuleba said.
At that, he did not comment on the alleged reception of a letter from Indian Embassy, which concerned discreditation claims made about the producer of the vaccine: "I never commented on the diplomatic correspondence. It's a private matter by its definition".
Kuleba also admitted that information attacks on this particular vaccine are going on in a number of countries.
Earlier, Indian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the government suspended the foreign supplies of CoviShield since March 25. The reason is that the country faced another wave of the pandemic, and it cited the need to expand the nation-level vaccination campaign.
