Tens of thousands of protesters gathered in the capital of South Korea - Seoul to demand the resignation of President Park Geun-hye, reported the BBC.

Park Geun-hye is accused of letting her friend Choi Soon-sil, who do not occupy any official position to gain access to government documents, it was reported that she edited the texts of speeches the president.

Choi Soon-sil was arrested last week on suspicion of using her friendship with the president to influence the business for the purpose of donations to non-profit foundations, which were under her control.
