Development of the situation with “Steinmeier formula” and heating season may lower the rating of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. This was stated by sociologist, General Director of Kyiv International Institute of Sociology Volodymyr Paniotto, Ukrainian Pravda reports.
"If the situation with “Steinmeier formula” develops, the attitude towards Zelensky may get worse. The heating season is coming up, gas bills can also affect the potential rating. Usually, this has a significant impact on it," Paniotto said.
At the same time, Iryna Bekeshkina, the director of the Democratic initiatives fund named after Ilka Kucheriv, believes that Zelensky's recent press marathon will increase his support rating.
After several months of rapid growth, the level of trust in Volodymyr Zelensky among the population has faltered for the first time. Support for the head of state decreased by seven percent. Together with the president, the approval of Prime Minister Oleksii Goncharuk and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov began to decline as well.
The fall coincided in time with Ukraine's approval of the "Steinmeier formula", to which the part of the population responded in a way of protests, perceiving it as the start of capitulation and retreat in the war with Russia.
