The index of the increase of the number of the new citizens of Israel from Ukraine increased by 20% in the comparison with 2016 (5 994 people). It is stated in the final report on the number of the new repatriates and returned Israeli in 2017 published by the department of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration as 9 Channel reported.

According to the report, 34 200 new people arrived in Israel in 2017, 28 600 new repatriates and 5 600 of returned Israeli. The index of the increase of the number of the new citizens of Israel increased by 5% in the comparison with 2016.

It is noted that the majority of people arrived from Russia (7 188 people), the second place is occupied by Ukraine (7 161 people). 3 389 people came from France, 2 929 people came from the US.

According to the report, 5 000 of the repatriates are the specialists in the trade and service sphere; 1 953 work in the social sciences sphere, 1 293 are pedagogues, 1 279 are accountants and lawyers. 1 291 of the repatriates do not have the profession and 1 682 people are without labor experience.
