The International Monetary Fund has unveiled a plan to overcome the coronavirus pandemic in the world and has offered $ 50 billion for this. The plan was published on the IMF website.

The plan provides for vaccination of at least 40% of the population in all countries by the end of 2021 and at least 60% by the first half of 2022.

It is estimated that $ 35 billion will be used in grant funding. The remainder of the overall funding plan - about $ 15 billion - could come from national governments.

According to the IMF, further implementation of the plan will lead to an adding of $ 9 trillion into the global economy by 2025 due to a faster recovery in economic activity. At the same time, advanced economies that are likely to invest more in these efforts will receive the highest return - they will account for 40%.

As we reported, the development and distribution of vaccines against coronavirus led to the emergence of nine new billionaires in the world. Their combined net worth is $ 19.3 billion. This amount is sufficient to fully vaccinate all people in low-income countries 1.3 times.
