Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Parliament voted for relieving Ihor Umansky from the office of the Finance Minister. 249 MPs said "yes" to the respective offer (with 226 necessary to pass). 

On March 4, the Parliament voted to fire the government of Oleksiy Honcharuk; Denys Shmygal replaced him as the head of the new Cabinet. Then, Umansky joined this line-up as the Finance Minister. 

Serhiy Marchenko may step up as the new Minister if the Parliament votes for his candidacy.

 
As is known, the Ukrainian Parliament gathered on an urgent session on March 30. Among other issues, the MPs considered:

- draft law on submitting changes to certain laws of Ukraine on the provision of coronavirus treatment;

- draft law on submitting changes to certain laws of Ukraine on the criminalization of the shipment of anti-epidemic goods abroad;

- draft law on submitting changes to a provision of Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine on peculiarities of judicial control for provision of rights, interests, and freedoms of those involved in the criminal procedure within the quarantine period;

- draft law on changes to the law about parliamentary committees.

The land reform and the bill on the banking system, which are required by the IMF in exchange for macroeconomic assistance for Ukraine are not considered.
