If Putin were present at G7 summit, we could discuss situation in Ukraine, - Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that if Russian President Vladimir Putin were at the G7 summit, they would be able to discuss the situations in Syria and Ukraine as FoxNews reported.

“You know, we spend probably 25 percent of our time talking about Russia and I said wouldn't it be better if they were here,” Trump said, adding that he does not stand for Russia, but for the US.

Trump also said that if Putin were at the G7 summit, they would be able to discuss the situations in Syria and Ukraine.

“I will tell you, as an example, if he were at that meeting I could ask him to do things that are good for the world, that are good for the country, that are good for him,” Trump said.

Earlier U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said that Russia would not be invited to return to the G7 countries until it stops interfering in the affairs of other countries.

As it was reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked the leaders of the G-7 countries for their support of Ukraine. According to him, the results of the summit confirmed that Ukraine is "among the key priorities of the free world."
