Some elements of the future project on de-occupation and reintegration of Donbas were discussed during the visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to Washington. Kostyantyn Yeliseyev, the Deputy head of the Administration of the President, announced that on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“The main discussion was around how to join and coordinate efforts with the American side in order to bring peace and stability to Donbas. Some elements of the bill were in the focus of negotiation process with the American side as the basis for the future bill are Minsk agreements, of course, and the key point is fulfilment security items by Russia,” c said.
According to him, the parties also discussed the possibility of the solidary pressure on Russia in order to make them fulfil their commitments in the frames of Minsk agreements.
“President Trump made it clear that this is not a conflict in Ukraine, but a Russian aggression, - added Yeliseyev.
As 112.International reported, the leader of the state met with the Ukrainian community in Washington and announced a ‘fantastic program’ of his working visit in the USA. Within its frameworks, Poroshenko negotiated with U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President Michael Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.
