On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference Volodymyr Zelensky met with the US Congress delegation led by Senator James Inhofe. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.
The President of Ukraine thanked for the strong support of Ukraine from both houses of the US Congress. Zelensky emphasized the great importance of the military assistance that Ukraine receives from the United States, and expressed hope for an increase in its volumes and expansion of directions.
"I feel a very positive attitude of the United States of America towards Ukraine. US support is very important for us," the head of state emphasized.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine is committed to carrying out democratic reforms and an effective anti-corruption policy.
He also talked about reforming the security and defense sector, in particular the defense industry, according to the standards of NATO member countries.
“We will have a complete reset of Ukroboronprom so that the Ukrainian defense enterprises are efficient, modern and transparent. If there are problems, we are always here, ready to resolve all the issues,” the president said.
We recall that on February 14, the President of Ukraine began a two-day working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, where he will take part in the 56th Munich Security Conference. Zelensky will also hold a series of meetings with leaders of foreign states within the framework of the visit.
