Gergely Gulyas, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's chief of staff says that Budapest will continue to block Ukraine's entry into NATO. This is reported by Magyar Nemzet.

"Ukraine's revenge took place long before our gas agreements with the Russians, when Ukraine grossly restricted the use of the native language of Hungarians in Transcarpathia by amending the education law, so Hungary should continue to block its path to NATO," Gulyas said.

As it was reported earlier, on September 27, it became known that Hungary had signed a new long-term contract with the Russian concern Gazprom for the supply of gas bypassing Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that they were disappointed with this decision.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, in his turn, called the gas contract between Budapest and Moscow a blow to Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.

Today, September 28, it became known that Ukraine and Hungary are calling for ambassadors due to the signing of a gas contract with Russia by Budapest.
