Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin reported that he talked to Hungarian colleague Péter Szijjártó on August 31 and the Hungarian side is obliged to change the name of its commissioner “for Zakarpattia” on the results of the talks as the minister reported on Twitter.

“I began the morning with the talk with my Hungarian colleague Péter Szijjártó. The Hungarians heard us well and change the name of their commissioner “for Zakarpattia”. Concerning all other issues – we continue to work constructively,” Klimkin wrote.

As we reported Laszlo Pap, the Chargé d'affaires of Hungary to Ukraine was called to visit the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine as the department wanted to express the protests due to the number of the unfriendly statements against Ukraine.

Also, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry stated that if Hungary does not give the explanation of the new post of the commissioner of Minister for Zakarpattia, Ukraine will be ready to strictly respond, including the ban of the official from entry

Earlier Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban offered Romani to join the efforts for the further economic growth and strengthening of the defense capability of the state. Moreover, he noted that "it is possible to develop the Carpathian region only acting jointly, on the basis of the mutual respect."
