The parliamentarian from Servant of the People Party Olha Vasylevska-Smahlyuk, who heads the Temporary Investigation Commission, which checks the activities of 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK TV channels, turned out to be a figurant of a corruption scandal in which her fellow faction colleagues suspect her.

Now, the conclusions of TIC under such a leadership will make will be even more doubtful. Political expert Volodymyr Katsman expressed such opinion in a commentary for 112 international.

“That’s it. Former journalist of 1+1 Vasylevska-Smahlyuk to please Kolomoisky wanted to harm 112, NewsOne and Zik through the parliamentary investigation commission initiated by her, and she herself appeared to be involved in a corruption scandal. Who will now trust any conclusions of the TIC headed by a MP, whom her own fellow colleagues suspect of receiving a bribe for supporting the lobbying bill? ”he said.

As it was reported earlier, 11 MPs of the Servant of the People Party, who are members of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, are suspected of receiving 30,000 dollars each for not supporting in a committee the bill on elimination of corruption schemes when assessing real estate. Among them, there are Iryna Allakhverdieva, Olha Vasylevska-Smahlyuk, Daria Volodina, Yulia Didenko, Oleksandr Dubinsky, Viktoria Kinzburska, Oleksiy Kovalyov, Anna Kolesnyk, Oleksiy Leonov, Anastasia Lyashenko, Evhen Petrunyak.

Earlier, an appeal was filed to the State Investigation Bureau on prosecuting the MPs from the Servant of the People Vasylevska-Smahlyuk for falsifying documents during the creation of Temporary Investigation Commission.
