The United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence or House Intelligence Committee found a lot of contacts of the representatives of the elections campaign of President Donald Trump with the Russian officials. Jim Himes, the member of the Committee reported this to NBC.
‘Of course, we saw a lot of contacts. We saw the desire to get dirt, desire to work with the Russians, the desire to contact the Russians. The issue is in the form of the cooperation’, Himes emphasized.
He highly estimated the work of the committee that holds the investigation of the connections of the Trump’s campaign with Russia.
Himes also claimed that the committee considers the possibility to subpoena Donald Trump Jr to appear before the panel again.
The US authorities officially accused Russia in the crack of the servers of the American parties and interference in the election campaign in October 2016. Kremlin called the accusations of the interference of Russia in the US election nonsense.
The Central Intelligence Agency came to the conclusion on December 10 that Russia interfered in the election campaign of the US aiming to help Trump to win over Hillary Clinton. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of Kremlin called such accusations obscene.
