The parliamentary faction of Holos party in the Ukrainian Parliament has officially split. Some of the MPs merged with Spravedlyvist (Justice), the parliamentary union of lawmakers. Oleksandra Ustinova, Holos's MP reported that during her speech at the session hall.
Fellow MPs initiate the expulsion of Holos leader Kira Rudyk who skips 60 percent of the working sessions.
"Yesterday, the leaders of our party and faction practically crossed the red line and betrayed the interests of their voters and fellow Ukrainians. They voted for Russification after having promised to protect Ukrainian language and culture. So we, 10 MPs, which is half of Holos parliamentary faction, want to state the creation of separate union called Spravedlyvist. We're forced to claim that over the last five months, there has been no Holos faction in the Parliament, and its leaders do not represent interests of even half of party members and fellow MPs", Ustinova said.
According to her, this is why half of the faction joined as Spravedlyvist, so as to "keep standing for interests of Ukrainians, not the leaders of party, or faction, or some oligarchs".
