High-rank President's Office worker detained under charges with fraud

National anti-corruption bureau (NABU) workers detained Svitlana Kondzelya, the Director of Department for Access to Public Information in the Presidential Office. The official is charged with fraud.

Ukrainska Pravda reported that with a reference to law enforcement agencies. According to the source, Kondzelya said she had solved all her problems by the means of her "contacts". Specifically, she asked USD 150,000 for the appointment of Deputy Head of the Board of Naftogaz Ukraine NJSC.

In her property declaration of 2018, Kondzelya reported she owned a place in Kyiv region and Lviv. Her husband also declared a house and a land parcel in Kyiv region. The couple also owns a 2011 Renault Latitude.
