Senate Intelligence Committee will be holding a hearing on possible Russia’s interference in the European elections, according to the committee’s schedule.
Hearing is scheduled for June 28 with the participation of experts in the field of international security in Europe.
Intelligence officers suspect that Russia was behind a cyberattack that sought to disrupt France's presidential election in spring this year, according to The Hill.
Similarly, Montenegro suffered a series of cyberattacks in October during the election and months before the small Balkan nation officially joined NATO.
American officials warn that Russian Federation will continue similar cyber attacks in the future in order to influence or disrupt elections in Europe and US.
