Ukrainian Health Minister Maxym Stepanov is confident that Ukrainians will be able to buy coronavirus vaccine in pharmacies when a commercial market appears. The head of the Ministry of Health said this in an interview with Radio Liberty, RBC Ukraine reports.
"As soon as commercial companies bring the vaccine, it will probably be possible to buy it. The Ministry of Health, on the contrary, calls on any pharmaceutical companies that operate in this market, if you have the opportunity, please bring it. We will register it (those that are registered in Ukraine), we will very quickly carry out all the procedures that the State Medicines Service should carry out so that we have a market, "Stepanov said.
According to him, at the moment, no country in the world has a commercial market for vaccines against Covid-19.
Stepanov assured that the Ministry of Health will support the distribution of vaccines through pharmacies as soon as such an opportunity arises.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on certain Ukrainian politicians to choose their words carefully, publicly speaking on the topic of anti-coronavirus vaccination.
The president also said that Ukraine expects the next batch of CoronaVac vaccine produced by the Chinese company Sinovac Biotech in the coming weeks.
