Health Ministry concedes that the potential introduction of stricter restrictions in Ukraine may be conducted in the near future. An enhanced quarantine is being introduced in terms of epidemiology and growth figures. This was stated by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"It is clear that we are monitoring the situation and also talking about the fact that that a stricter quarantine may be introduced," Stepanov said.
According to him, there is another side - Ukraine's economy, which may suffer due to the introduction of a total lockdown.
Stepanov added that enhancement of the quarantine would apply to all regions of Ukraine.
"If we talk about a complete strict quarantine, it will apply to all people without any exceptions, as it was, relatively speaking, this spring," the minister added.
As we reported earlier, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors have observed 13,882 new cases of coronavirus across the country.
In total, 661,858 people have got sick since the pandemic reached this country.
