"I do not rule out that we will suggest imposing the weekend quarantine, which will provide for strict restrictions. We are doing this to break the chain of disease transmission. Stores are closed, restaurants will work only in ‘take away’ mode," he stated.
The minister assured that there were no plans to introduce a curfew due to the fact that a state of emergency must be declared in the country first.
As we reported earlier, the government of Ukraine prepares for significant enhancing of quarantine starting from November 9.
“According to different information, the variants are considered from ‘the weekend quarantine’ up to the introduction of the curfew and fines for its violation,” the statement said.
As of today, October 4, Ukraine officially confirmed 420,617 cases of coronavirus infection. 9,524 people have been diagnosed with the disease over the last 24 hours.
