The Ministry of Health does not rule out that it will propose to introduce strengthened quarantine for the weekends. Health Minister Maksym Stepanov declared it on the air of 1+1 TV channel.

"I do not rule out that we will suggest imposing the weekend quarantine, which will provide for strict restrictions. We are doing this to break the chain of disease transmission. Stores are closed, restaurants will work only in ‘take away’ mode," he stated.

The minister assured that there were no plans to introduce a curfew due to the fact that a state of emergency must be declared in the country first.
