"Head" of occupied Crimea meets Syrian President Assad

According to media, the representatives of the Russian authority came to Syria yesterday to sign the agreement on cooperation

Sergey Aksyonov, so-called "Head of Crimea," appointed by Kremlin, met Bashar al-Assad, the President of Syria as the press service of Aksyonov reported on Facebook.

The details of the negotiations were not reported.

According to Radio Liberty, the representatives of the Russian authority headed by Aksyonov came to Syria on October 15. They plan to sign a few agreements on the cooperation with Syria, particularly, the agreement on the supply of the grain from occupied Crimea to Syria.

Earlier Aksyonov asked the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to cancel the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on the imposing of the sanctions against him.

Crimea was annexed by Russia by way of the illegal referendum, held at the peninsula in March 2014. Earlier the Russian militaries that stayed there without any marking conquered all strategic military objects and building of the force and state bodies. The results of the referendum were not recognized by Ukraine and the world society. The number of the European and world countries, including Ukraine imposed the economic sanctions against Russia.
