Hubert Fayard, the Head of the so-called representative office of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in Marseille was arrested in France, as RIA News reported.
“He met a woman, a Ukrainian. I cannot tell about what kind of relationship they had; I was not there. But the point is that she offered him to loan some sum of money,” an interlocutor told the news agency.
According to him, the next day after the delivering of money, the police came to the house of Fayard.
“They confiscated this money and detained him accusing of pimping. At the moment, he is under arrest at one of the communes at arrondissement of Aix-en-Provence,” the message said.
The French Foreign Ministry emphasized that it does not recognize the so-called “official representative office of the DPR” and called its activity illegal.
Later a few court sessions took place on the banning of the office but it is still not closed.
In December 2018, the French court refused to close the DPR’s representative office.
Earlier the so-called MFA of DPR claimed that the first in Europe representative center would be officially registered and opened in the Czech Republic and it will be headed by Neli Leskova in September 2016. The Czech Republic belied this information and eliminated the possibility of the creation of the militants’ representative center in the country.
