First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy Oleksiy Lyubchenko has submitted a request to accept his resignation, Cabinet Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk reports.

"The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko has submitted an application to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to accept his resignation," Melnychuk said.

The Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksiy Lyubchenko as the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine. 293 Ukrainian MPs supported his candidacy.

Prior to his appointment as the Minister, Lyubchenko headed the State Tax Service (since April 29, 2020). Prior to that, Lyubchenko was the First Vice President of Ukragrohimholding, Adviser to the Head of the State Fiscal Service, Director of the Department in the State Tax Service, Deputy Head of the Tax Service, and held various management positions in Cherkasy region.

As it was reported on November 1, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Urusky has written a letter of resignation of his own volition.
