Chairman of Kherson Region Council Vladyslav Manger, the main suspect in Kateryna Handziuk’s murder, will wear the ankle monitor till July 1. Andriy Lysenko, the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General’s Office said that as Hromadske reports.
Manger was allowed to move within Kherson region (earlier, he could move only within Kherson city). Nevertheless, his foreign passport was seized.
According to the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the suspect is supposed to arrive at the place at the first call of the investigator, prosecutor or investigating judge. Manger is supposed to report in case of changing the place of living.
Earlie,r Manger was accused of the organization of the murder and intentional homicide, which provided 10-15 years in jail or life imprisonment.
On March 6, Vladyslav Manger, the suspect in the organization of murder of activist Kateryna Hanzdiuk has been suspended from duty for a month.
On February 11, Vladyslav Manger was served with charge papers in Handziuk’s murder. In his turn, Manger said that he would not escape from the country due to suspicion of organizing the murder of Handziuk.
The court ruled to arrest Manger until March 3 with the possibility of bail. Later, lawyer Dmytro Ilchenko posted a bail for his client.
On February 19, Vladyslav Manger started to wear the digital bracelet.
On November 4, 2018, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.
Besides, the doctors specified the cause of death; it was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
