The details of the extradition from Bulgaria of Oleksiy Levin, the suspect in the organization of attack on Kherson activist Kateryna Handziuk, will be concealed, as Ukrainian News reported citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The department specified that the suspect was on the international wanted list. He was detained on January 24 in Bulgaria. Later, Burgas court arrested him for 40 days. Information, which concerns his extradition from Bulgaria to Ukraine, cannot be disclosed as it contains the evidence of the pretrial investigation.
Levin was detained in Europe in August 2019, questioned on the polygraph and released. The Security Service of Ukraine could file the request on his extradition but did not do it.
On November 4, 2018, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.
Besides, the doctors specified the cause of death; it was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
