Up to half a million Afghans could flee the crisis in their homeland. This was reported by Kelly Clements, Deputy UN High Commissioner for Refugees, as The Guardian reports. 

"In terms of numbers we are preparing for around 500,000 new refugees in the region. This is a worst case scenario.While we have not seen large outflows of Afghans at this point, the situation inside Afghanistan has evolved more rapidly than anyone expected," Kelly Clements said.

The UN Refugee Agency has also called on Afghanistan's neighbors to keep their borders open for those seeking safety.

As we reported earlier, two explosions occurred near the Airport of Kabul. One of the explosions occurred among the crowd of Afghan people, who tried to get into the territory of the airport. The suicide attacker committed the terrorist action.

According to U.S. Joe Biden, the terrorist act in Kabul was organized by the ISIS. The U.S. prepares the response to the terrorists.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of all decease as the result of the terrorist acts in Kabul. The leaders of some states and governments condemned the terrorist actions in Kabul.
