U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said that Russia committed “warfare” against the U.S. by meddling in the presidential election 2016, as The Washington Examiner reports.

“When a country can come interfere in another country's elections, that is warfare," she said.

Haley also added that Russia conducts such operations not only in the U.S. but all over the world.

"They are doing this everywhere," she said. "This is their new weapon of choice."

The FBI is investigating attempts to intervene in the US presidential election of 2016 and possible links of the team of the current president, Donald Trump with the Kremlin. Trump himself repeatedly called such charges a witch hunt.

The tensions on the topic are growing and the evidence is piling up, with companies like Facebook, Twitter, and Google cooperating with the investigation.
