UN Secretary-General and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met in New York, as the session of the UN General Assembly is underway.
"The Secretary-General and the President discussed recent developments in Ukraine, including the ongoing peace efforts. The Secretary-General underlined the UN’s commitment to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders", Guterres's press office reported.
As is known, on September 21, Zelensky joined the opening ceremony of the session of the UN General Assembly.
He arrived in New York on September 20 in order to participate in the work of the Assembly. Zelensky is also supposed to negotiate with the leaders of other countries and representatives of international organizations. Zelensky will also meet with businessmen, investors and representatives of the Ukrainian society in the U.S.
