The UN Secretary General expressed his sympathy to families of died and wished the speedy recovery for injured

Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations condemned the attack in the downtown of the Afghanistan’s capital.  More than 90 people died and about 400 people got injured as a result of the attack. It is reported on the official website of the Secretary General.

He expressed the aversion to the terrorist attack and emphasized the necessity to strengthen the fight against the terrorism and violent extremism.

‘Incoherent attacks on the civil citizens are the extreme violations of the human rights and international humanitarian law. They can never be justified. Those people who took the responsibility for this attack should be punished’, it is reported in the message.

Guterres expressed his sympathy to families of died and wished the speedy recovery for injured. He also confirmed that the UN is united with Afghanistan government and people.

The powerful bomb explosion thundered near Kabul’s diplomat district on May 31. The car rigged with explosives blasted near the Embassy of Germany to Afghanistan. About 90 people killed and more than 400 get injured.According to the authorities, there are a lot of women and children among the victims.  The explosion blasted in the morning rush-hour. Sigmar Gabriel, German Minister for Foreign Affairs, announced that embassy’s employees were wounded in the attack. Particularly, the security officer guarding German Embassy died.
