The overall voters turnout made 72,16 percent. According to the Guardian, 17.4 million British voted for the exit from the EU, while another 16.1 million wanted the country to preserve the country’s EU membership.
BBC reported similar figures, saying 51.9 percent of voters supported the United Kingdom’s exit from the EU, and 48.1 chose to stay in the EU.
