Ukrainian authorities plan to introduce e-visas for foreign citizens. This was stated on Facebook by the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
In particular, Prime Minister responded to the complaint that foreigners who come to the airport "Boryspil" in Kyiv after the closure of the consular department at 19:00, have to wait for its opening till 09:00 to get a visa.
"I want to apologize to those guests of Ukraine, who are faced with the imperfection of our officials ... I started to figure out how to restore order in this issue. The good news: as it turned out, even before last week Foreign Minister has ordered to provide the 24th work of the consular department at "Boryspil". It remains only to speed up its implementation, and it will be done "- he said.
At the same time Groysman said that similar problems sometimes arise in Zhulyany, as well as in other airports. "There is also a need to streamline the work of consular services. And to finally solve this problem, we need an electronic visa implementation. The first step has already been made: since June 2016 Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a pre-filling the online visa applications. By the way, the introduction of electronic consular services to foreigners and our citizens is also provided in terms of the government's actions ", - he added.
