Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Ukraine Jan Peklo, who recently began his diplomatic mission in Ukraine. This was reported in the press service of the Ukrainian government.
In particular, Groysman congratulated the Ambassador of Poland to the beginning of work in Ukraine.
"I would like the result of our work to be the national rapprochement of our countries, deepening our cooperation", he stressed.
The Prime Minister added that Poland is a strategic partner of Ukraine.
"For many years traditional relations between our two countries have been very friendly and strategic, not only at national but also at local level. Therefore, I believe, deepening this cooperation and realizing its full potential is our common task", said Volodymyr Groysman.
The Head of Ukrainian Government said that during the 26th Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj in September he held talks with Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlow.
Groysman also noted the necessity of holding a meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
The interlocutors emphasized the prospects and the strategic importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in many areas, particularly on trade-economic, infrastructure and cross-border cooperation.
