Roman Romanov, the CEO of Ukroboronprom, Ukraine’s state-run defense industry giant may be soon removed from his office. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman recommended that the official resign, as he could not pay off the debts on wage arrears in the timely fashion.

According to the Premier, the deadline for the respective pay-off went off on Monday, December 25.

‘I advise that the CEO of Ukroboronprom resign immediately – on his own. If you cannot live up to your commitments – well, goodbye then, and good luck with the next job. The new leader will find the way how to solve the problem and pay off the debts on wage arrears. I hope the President will act fast in this matter,’ he said.

The Premier ordered Romanov to pay off the debts in November 2017.
