The Ivankiv unit of the State Border Guard and the National Police of Ukraine detected two roadsters moving towards the Chornobyl exclusion zone. The press office of Ukraine's State Border Guard reported that on Monday, November 18.

Law enforcers stopped the cars when they already crossed the rear border of the restricted territory beyond the checkpoints.

The culprits appeared to be the Ukrainian citizens, residents of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions. Apart from that, they checked the cars and discovered four various kinds of firearms, including a .22 caliber shotgun with shells for it.

The trespassers explained that they were going to sight the weapons in the abandoned area.

The men are brought to responsibility for violating the radiation security in the radiation-affected area. Sovage, GSG 5, Zbroyar Z, Kriss Vector and ATA Arms shotgun were sized, along with almost 100 pieces of ammunition.

107,000 tourists have visited the Chornobyl exclusion zone since the beginning of 2019.
