Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends to implement the certification exam in the Ukrainian language for foreigners; the issue is to be settled until 2018, vice prime minister Vyacheslav Kyrylenko said as quoted by his press service on Tuesday.

The government explained that the need for implementation of the internationally recognized exam in Ukrainian as the foreign language has considerably grown; more and more foreigners, migrants and refugees from war-affected areas aiming to get the citizenship want to certify their knowledge of Ukrainian.

The Cabinet also said it will implement the standards compatible with those mentioned in documents of CEFR, Common European Framework of Reference, recommended by the Resolution of the European Council.
