Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship for volunteers who participated in the combat actions in Donbas. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk on his Twitter page.
Under the new mechanism, foreign volunteers will be able to obtain a permit for temporary residence in Ukraine as a first step for receiving citizenship
"It is important that the decision of the Government simplifies the submission of documents for citizenship, but the decision is made in accordance with the rules of the law," Honcharuk wrote.
As we reported earlier, the exchange of imprisoned individuals between Ukraine and the militant-held Donbas will take place on December 29. The venue will be Mayorsk entry-exit checkpoint in the Donetsk region. Telegram channel Рavlovskynews informed about that on December 26.
"The proportions are the following: Donetsk/Kyiv - 55/65, Luhansk/Kyiv 25/65. The overall number makes 130 people from Kyiv and 80 from the occupied areas", reads the message.
As is known, some of those imprisoned refuse to go back. The exchange lists include some corrupt residents of Kyiv, who were judged for corruption in Ukraine.
