Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas canceled a visit to the demarcation line due to adverse weather conditions. It was planned that Maas would arrive in Kharkiv on Monday evening, and on the morning of Tuesday, he would fly to Donbas by helicopter. But many flights were delayed and canceled at the Kharkiv airport, Deutsche Welle reports.
Instead, a meeting between Maas and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk and Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko is due to take place on Tuesday in Kyiv. During the talks, the parties will discuss the Normandy Summit, which will be held on December 9 in Paris.
As we reported earlier, the Office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that all sides agreed the date of the Normandy format summit – December 9, Paris as the office reported on Telegram.
“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held the phone talk with President of France Emmanuel Macron. The French President underlined that Ukraine fulfilled all necessary conditions to hold the Normandy format summit. As a result, all parties agreed on the date of its holding - December 9 in Paris”, the message said.
It was stated that Zelensky had reported to the French President about the current situation on the security in Donbas.
