The German government will be in charge of four out of seventeen projects of the EU program - PESCO, the new EU comprehensive program in defense and security. Germany will be running a medical service, a logistics centre, a training missions centre and a service responsible for creating rapid response forces.
The first session of PESCO will host 25 Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the EU member countries. They will discuss, among other things, a program for robotic divers and armored cars, as well programs for improving maritime patrol in southeastern Europe, assistance in emergency situations and exchanging information among special services via the Internet. A number of people engaged in each project will vary from 2 to 23.
