"This is the president's eleventh visit to Germany in the last three years. For the first time the meeting with the chancellor took place in her suburban government residence, the Mesberg Castle, fruitful talks took place in a very friendly atmosphere," Poroshenko's press secretary added.

Earlier President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko counted on demonstrating the unity of the G-7 countries in the issue of Ukraine's support at the summit in Italy in late May. He said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel
