The ultra-right party "Alternative for Germany" filed a complaint to the German Constitutional Court about the migration policy pursued by the government of Angela Merkel. This is reported by Zeit.
According to AdG lawyer Stefan Brandner, the complaint was submitted to the court on April 14. The party believes that the current government, developing a plan for migration policy, violated the law - decisions were made without involving the Bundestag.
In this connection, AdG appeals to the court with a demand to verify the legality of the decision to open the border with Austria in September 2015. Brandner suggested that if AdG wins in court, Merkel will have to resign from the position of chancellor.
Now the Constitutional Court decides whether to start considering the complaint.
Earlier, the German Ministry of the Interior reported that the country had practically completed the reception of refugees within the framework of the EU migration program.
