German, Ukrainian Foreign Ministers discuss peacekeepers in Donbas

According to Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, Germany will continue investing efforts into searching of the ways to solve the conflict in Ukraine

Heiko Maas, German Foreign Minister, and Pavlo Klimkin, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, discussed the peacekeeping mission in Donbas on the phone, as the press office of the Foreign Ministry reports.

“Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas discussed a possibility of UN peacekeeping mission with his Ukrainian colleague Pavlo Klimkin,” the message says.

It was noted that Germany will continue investing efforts into searching of the ways to solve the conflict in Ukraine.

“We have to reach the ceasefire and progress in the political process,” the message says.

Earlier, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Turkey and Finland announced their readiness to send the peacekeepers to Donbas.
