Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will visit Ukraine and Russia on Friday, January 18, as Zeit reported.

“The Minister will meet his colleague Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. They will discuss the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), in particular,” the message says.

As Ukrinform reports, in Kyiv, the Foreign Minister will have a meeting with Ukraine’s Pavlo Klimkin. They will discuss the situation on the East of Ukraine and reforms.

The meeting is scheduled for the afternoon, a press conference will be held between 4 pm and 6 pm.

As it was reported, Heiko Maas, the German Foreign Minister, offered to extend the mandate of OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine to the Sea of Azov. 

'It's not going to be so simple (...) I guess it's good for Ukraine, but the Russian side is quite skeptical', Maas said.
