In Dortmund, a citizen of Germany faced trial as he is suspected in the participation in the combat actions in Donbas at the side of the militants of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) as DW reported.
A name of a man is not disclosed but it is noted that he stays in occupied Donbas in 2014-2016. However, the suspect denies that he participated in the combat actions at the side of the militants.
It is reported that a man stated he was born at USSR times and his father was a Ukrainian so he called his accession to DPR militants in Donbas his civic duty. However, he stated later that he disappointed in the militants.
“I have never been in the front line…I supported people, who enriched in the war,” a 43-year-old accused said.
A suspect said that he was taught how to use the weapon. However, firstly, he repaired the destroyed gas and water pipelines as he worked as a welder before. Then he entered the security detachment but “he has never been in the front line”.
A man was arrested in Hannover Airport. He is accused of the preparation of the large-scale violent act, which create a threat for the state and the violation of the law on control over the armed formations. An accused may hope for the suspended sentence.
