Chairman of the Defence and Security Committee of Georgia Irakli Sesiashvili stated that the latest statements of Head of the Executive Committee of Reforms Mikheil Saakashvili would not be left without a response and Ukraine will be held accountable, as Gruzia Online reported.
According to Sesiashvili, it is hard to hear that the Ukrainian said that the government of Georgia was illegitimate.
“He is the Ukrainian public servant, respectively, when he talks about the legitimation of this country; it will not be left without response for sue; Ukraine will be held accountable because Ukrainian public servant calls the government of Georgia illegitimate. Of course, the state will respond to it,” Sesiashvili stated.
According to the message, Saakashvili stated that he believed that the Georgian government was illegitimate and he would not recognize the legitimacy of the current situation.
On June 10, Saakashvili wrote on Facebook the following: “I am not going to stand to see the destruction and complete destruction of Georgia. I will be at the front line of the struggle in fact.”
Previously, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky assigned Mikheil Saakashvili to the post of Head of Executive Committee of Reforms. This is mentioned in the decree released on the website of the head of the state.
Later, Georgia recalled its ambassador in Kyiv for consultations. Such a move is due to the recent appointment of Mikheil Saakashvili, the former Georgian leader who is, from now on, the head of the Executive Committee of Reforms that works by the President of Ukraine.
