"During the conversation, the Prime Minister of Georgia said that he shared the pain over the loss of Ukrainian citizens in the crash of an UIA (Ukrainian International Airlines – ed.) plane in the Iranian city of Tehran, and expressed condolences to the victims of the tragedy," the statement said.
Gaharia also assured that Georgia is ready to provide the necessary assistance to Ukraine.
In his turn, Zelensky said that Ukraine and Georgia had always been side by side in difficult moments of history.
"We have experts working, we have already sent a plane with our best experts to Iran and we are working to make the investigation transparent," Zelensky said.
As we reported earlier, U.S. State Department Mike Pompeo expressed the readiness of the U.S. to provide help and support in the investigation of PS752 crash in Iran during the phone talk with Ukraine’s President as Pompeo reported on Twitter.
“Spoke with Ukrainian President Zelensky to express my deepest condolences for the lives lost in the tragic crash of Ukrainian International Airlines flight 752. We stand with Ukraine and are ready to offer our support and assistance in the ongoing investigation,” Pompeo wrote.
