The G7 Ambassadors’ Support Group recognized the reform progress that has been made in Ukraine since 2015 and will continue its efforts to make further progress. It has identified the key reforms it will support in 2019 during the French Presidency of the G7. This is mentioned in the tweet posted by the Support Group.

G7 has expressed its political support for Ukraine for a while. In November, when Russian special service fighters captured Ukrainian sailors in the Kerch Strait, the group urged Russia to release them. G7 also supports the anti-Russian sanctions course imposed on this country for the annexation of Crimea and the military aggression in Donbas.

Earlier, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde noted the leadership of the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in conducting reforms in Ukraine and expressed her confidence in successful implementation of the whole program of cooperation during 2019.
