Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform – For Life Viktor Medvedchuk said that fulfillment of Minsk Agreements will depend on new Verkhovna Rada. He made such a statement during the meeting with Denis Pushylin, the Head of self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Leonid Pasichnyk, the Head of self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).
“It is also about the political will of the next Verkhovna Rada. The Verkhovna Rada, which have sunk into oblivion and which was dissolved absolutely naturally; it did nothing and even did not try to do and today the hope that aspirations and expectations of our people, our citizens will be implemented in the future after elections to the parliament, and forces that will come; the fulfillment of the political part of Minsk Agreements will depend on them as I said, the fundament; it is the adoption of that legislation acts, which depend only on the Verkhovna Rada,” he noted.
“Accordingly, the importance of these issues we discussed, we also discussed the issues of the economic blockade, which violates the point 8 of Minsk Agreements; discussed the issues tied with the fact that during a year and a half, today it is exactly a year and a half since December 27, 2017, when the last exchange took place, which was agreed between Ukraine and non-recognized DPR and LPR,” Medvedchuk emphasized.
Earlier Viktor Medvedchuk arranged the release of four Ukrainian prisoners who were held in the self-proclaimed “DNR” and “LNR”. Three of the released are Ukrainian servicemen.
